For any customers who wish to start a Talking Statues project we have set six delivery stages.
Delivery 1: Writing the monologue
The first stage involves the creation of a captivating monologue. The monologue can be written by either an author or a scriptwriter who has experience in writing dramatic monologues. We typically recommend that our clients use scriptwriters to achieve the best result.
In this stage, you can change as much as you want about the monologue to achieve the desired result. We have a great deal of experience in this area, capturing the rich mixture of humor and history based on well-founded research.
Our team delivers the draft monologue via email and then waits for your feedback on any necessary revisions.
It can be noted that monologue lengths vary. Some scripts are less than two minutes, while others can be up to 11 minutes.
Delivery 2: Recording the monologue
The next stage is to bring the monologue to life through professional voice acting. Our team works with talented actors who lend their voices to the monologue. We can even arrange a casting session before the recording to help you select your ideal actor. It can be an advantage to choose an actor who is well known, which creates extra interest and, at the same time, gives extra press coverage.
The recording can take place in a studio of your choice, anywhere in the world. For instance, during the recording of H.C. Andersen’s monologue for Central Park in New York, the renowned Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen voiced the famous fairy tale writer.
Once the recording of the monologue is complete, we will send it to you for approval.
Delivery 3: Sign Design
Our team specializes in designing visually appealing signs for the statues. There are many ways to design the sign. The most important elements are a QR code and a clear headline that encourages people to scan the sign. During the design process, we send the sign for your approval, as we value your input. When it is finished, we prepare and send a PDF to a printer so that the sign can be promptly picked up by clients afterwards.
We can make the signs in any color and size you desire. Our preferred material, Dibond, ensures durable and long-lasting signs that can withstand outdoor conditions for approximately 5–10 years. It is a very durable material that is easy to drill holes in, and at the same time, the material makes the signs very easy to mount.
Delivery 4: App Programming
Test of the Talking Statues App
Once the monologue has been written and recorded and the sign has been designed, it is time to program the app. The fully developed app will be shared with you via a link for testing and review. During this stage, we will also address the inclusion of relevant images, credit lists, logos, and additional features. At this stage, you can also opt to scan the sign directly with your phone in order to test the incoming call functionality of the statue for yourself.
If you have any supplementary materials, such as videos documenting the history of the statue, we can incorporate them into the app. We can also integrate surveys for users to provide feedback, as well as include relevant links, logos, and more.

Delivery 5: Mounting the sign
There are many ways in which the sign can be set up. During this stage, we engage in dialogue with you to determine the optimal locations for installing the signs. We consider various factors and collaborate closely to identify the best placement options. In some cases, it may be good to mount the sign on a fence; in other places it is done directly on the statue’s foundation with double-sided tabs or even on the surface of the ground by the statue.
We always deliver an extra sample of the sign as a backup in case the sign is removed or damaged.
Delivery 6: Project Launch and Press Release
The project launch is a pivotal moment, as it generates attention and awareness for the statue so that people know that it is there and would want to visit it. Moreover, the launch serves as an opportunity to introduce key individuals, acknowledge project contributors, and sponsors, and share the statue’s significance. The preparation of the launch includes sending out invitations, writing and distributing of press releases, getting permits and insurance, among other things.
Delivery 7: Maintenace and statistics
Once the signs have been mounted and people have started using them, we deliver monthly statistics to clients by email. Through statistics, you can see how often the statue is scanned and at what point in the day it happens. In addition, you can see where the users come from and much more.
Statistics provide interesting insights and can also be used to make sure that everything is working as it should. If you are not regularly visiting the location of the statue, it is an easy way to always survey the installation to see how it is working, how often it is being used, and whether it is functioning correctly.
